Friends in the Heartland

One of my best friends Abby had her first baby 10 days after we moved to New Mexico...naturally this one of our first stops when we got to Nebraska.  Baby Maisey....Adorable!   Guess who wants a baby sister now?

We spent the night in Omaha with the Long family before the Omaha marathon.  Jorgito "helping" walk/pull Isabella's dog.

Jorgito and Isabella win 1st prize for cutest kids and best sports for waking up at 5 something in the am in the cold to go watch their Papas run/win a race.

Jorgito picked Tucker up from school one day and got a tour of his classroom.  Jorgito has not stopped talking about going to school since this day!  Just for the record we do have Jorgito on a waiting list here in Silver City at a preschool :)

Tyler and Jamie's Wedding

I made it back to Nebraska just in time for Jamie's Bachelorette Party!

It started as a nice dinner with her close friends....

It didn't take long for this to happen....

 and then this...

after dinner we went to Red 9 for drinks....did I mention there was a home football game and we were downtown!!!  CRAZY!!!!!

 Didn't take long for the ladies to get on the dance floor....

and for the lead singer of the band to notice there was something special about this girl with the "BRIDE" shirt.

 The day before the wedding Jamie treated us to a bridal brunch...unfortunately Jamie's mother and sister-in-law aren't in the photo as Jamie got a call from the Hotel during lunch that there was a smell of smoke coming out of her room where her wedding dress was hanging.  They rushed out to go check on it and everything turned out ok!

 After lunch it was time for manis and pedis.

 They absolutely lucked out with the weather on both the rehearsal (pictured here) and the ceremony the following evening.   Joel Gajardo (pictured in the middle) is a close family friend who also married Jorge and I.

Finally the BIG DAY!!!  It was a beautiful :)

I officially have a sister!!!!  Yipee!!!!

 Wedding Party: Jorge was the best man, I was a bridesmaid, and Ito was a ring bearer.  We had just a great wedding weekend!

And they lived happily ever after.......

Unfortunately this is the only photo I took at the reception (on our way out)....but as you can see Jorgito partied until he passed out (and so did his mother)  AWESOME!!!!!!!

September in Nebraska

We were so fortunate to spend pretty much the entire month of September in Nebraska.  The highlight was my brother's wedding....I took over a 500 photos on our trip but here are some of the other highlights.

We made it to grandma and grandpa's just in time to "help" them harvest their garden.

Had fun with Grandma and Grandpa in Nebraska City after the orchard.

We had lots of fun adventures in September, but Jorgito's favorite was just hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's house.....and as you can see in this photo we don't wonder why :)
