Ten months have been full of firsts for Jorgito! He has had this tooth for about a week or two but this is the first time he let me take a photo of it. (He was distracted watching Baby Signing Time)

Christmas Day 2009
We were supposed to spend Christmas Day at my parent's house celebrating with the Knerr side of the family however that was rescheduled due to the SNOW!!! My parents as well as my brother and his girlfriend decided to come to our house because they both have tractors and could make it through the 6 foot high drifts.
This was a very memorable Christmas. It was just the 6 of us and we stayed in sweatpants all day, we had soup instead of turkey and ham, we played games and watched video of Tyler and I growing up....priceless! We will never forget Jorgito's first Christmas!!!!

Jorgito's FIRST Steps!!!!
I had my camera out trying to capture a good pic of Jorgito standing up in his reindeer outfit when he took off towards me. He took two steps and lunged into my lap!!!

The point of this blog was really to prevent me from having to write this letter, however many of you are just discovering the blog for the first time so here it is: the 2009 Recap....
January~Lamaze classes and the last time we slept in late.
February~The HIGHLIGHT of our year 2/18/09 Jorgito was born.
March and April~Maternity leave was fantastic in the Spring time. Planted a garden but then didn't have time to water or weed it.
May~My first Mother's Day, Jorge ran the Lincoln full marathon.
June~Jorge went to Seattle and presented at the National American College of Sports Medicine Conference.
July~I turned 29 for the first time, Jorge competed in the Cornhusker State Games Triathlon. Jorge also went to Las Vegas to present at another conference.
August~Jorge competed in the Black Squirrel Triathlon at Lake Manawa.
September~We took our first weekend trip with my parents, brother and his girlfriend to Hastings where we all ran (Jorgito included in his running stoller) in the Hastings College Ram Run. Jorge turned 30!
October~My mom, Jorgito and I tagged along with Jorge to San Diego, California for a week of fun in the sun while Jorge presented at another conference. Jorgito was a spider for Halloween
November~We had a lot to be Thankful this year at Thanksgiving
December~My family celebrated my father's birthday and his retirement from Burlington Northern at a weekend get away in a cabin at Mahoney State Park the weekend after we got a foot of snow.
I hope this finds you and your family enjoying the Holiday Season. Jorge and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and blessed 2010.
I update this blog on a weekly basis so you won't have to wait until next Christmas for our family update, check in on us anytime you please.

10 months old and ready to start TRAINING
Today we watched the 2009 Ironman in Hawaii on TV: 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile bike ride and ends with a 26.2 mile marathon. Upon the tearful and dramatic ending Jorgito decided that he is ready to start training!
Bike
Run ~ Look Ma no hands!
Pfew...all that training is exhausting. Don't worry Jorgito is staying hydrated
I found this little number at the children's used clothes store. It was on the clearance rack with all the Halloween costumes about a month ago. HA HA HA score!!!
Jorge is doing a half Ironman in Kansas on 6/03/09. Jorgito will be sporting this outfit while we cheer on daddy pending...he still fits in it then:)

Weekend Winter Wonderland
We (my 2 Jorges, my parents Deb and Larry and my brother Tyler and his girlfriend Jamie) spent the weekend at Mahoney State Park celebrating my Dad's birthday and his retirement from Burlington Northern. The best part was definitely just spending a whole uninterrupted weekend together. Here are some the highlights.

Another Snow Day
My 2 Jorge's were stuck at home with me today due to the wonderful blanket of snow we received last night. We decided to make the best of it this morning and went for Jorgito's first sled ride.
Check out my Husker snow suit and Elmer Fud hat. If I'm going to be a real Husker I better get used to this white stuff.

Santa BABY
Jorgito met Santa for the first time over the weekend at Legacy where Great Grandma Knerr lives. Santa and the Mrs. even brought the reindeer and afterwards we ate peppermint icecream and cookies. It was a wonderful afternoon.

9 month well baby check...well and NAUGHTY!!!
Jorgito had his 9 month well baby check today and here are his updated stats: 24lbs (92%) and 30 inches tall (95%). Apparently the doctor's comment about being a strong and health baby went straight to his head because when we went home he decided to pull this little trick.
Pull out this drawer and push my music table against the wall...

Then get on top of the music table and PRESTO...the toothbrush is mine :)
These photos were taken after the incident and with Jorge spotting Jorgito while we reinacted his little trick. The first time he did it I was putting my contacts in and I didn't notice him until he was standing on the table waving the toothbrush at me. Silly little boy!!!!

Outdoor Picnic

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas (at least in our living room)
`
As you can see...my two Jorge's have successfully put up the Christmas tree together. Sure it's a little early but it took several hours (due to the little helper) so we thought we are going to enjoy it for as long as possible.

New Bath Toys
The Zuniga Family spent this past Saturday evening in Omaha. Jorge and friend Ryan Long went to a runner's gathering while Jorgito and I went shopping with Ryan's wife Amelis and 3 month old daughter Isabella. They were good sports while we spent entirely too much time at Babies R Us. We pretty much went down each aisle and at the end of it all the cashier says to us..."wow are you guys still here or did you leave and come back"? Awesome! Also Amelis shot some video of Jorgito kissing Isabella's hand which you can check out on my facebook page.
`
short video :) Does anyone have any advice of how to stop babies from trying to pull up and stand in the tub?????
Sunday Dinner with Chileans
Thanks to Skype and the internet we have recently been able to start having weekend meals with Jorge's family in Chile. The cast of characters changes but one thing remains the same...Marcela's cooking. Mmmmmmmmmm......Que Rico!!!!
