Yoga time ANY time

While other children his age may have wanted to build a sandcastle or eat a popsicle while at the beach in Chile, Jorgito takes this fine opportunity to perfect his favorite yoga position: downward facing dog :)

or in the living room

or in the bath tub
Bath Time at is Boy Time at the Zuniga house, but every once in a while I get invited into he bathroom to fish out turds in the tub or to watch Jorgito as he makes new discoveries. Last night he decided to try some bath tub yoga.

18 months

This photo is actually a week or so before he turned 18 months, but my camera's memory card is full of photos in Chile, therefore I couldn't take any on 8/18/10. Photos from our vacation are yet to make the blog...there are 500 and it's alittle overwhelming to try and pick out just a couple for the blog :)

The updated 18 Month Stats from his recent check up: 30lbs ~ 90%, 35 inches ~ 95%, and a head circumference of 20 inches ~ off the charts (no%) He must have a huge brain :) The doctor said that an 18 month old should use 7 or 8 words.....Jorge and I made a list of Jorgito's word that he uses without us saying....say ball...Jorgito say ball :)

Here is the list:

Mama (of course!!!!)

Papa

G.G. (for great grandma)

Tata (for his Chilean Grandpa)

Nana (for his Chilean Grandma)

YaYa (for both grandma and grandpa Fountain...he usually screams this one)

hot

stuck

bath

go

mas (spanish for more)

hola (spanish for hello)

truck (he says this one after I tell him he is going to see grandpa)

Mi Mou (for mickey mouse)

He also uses 7 signs on a daily basis:

Eat

Please

Thank you

Bye bye

7 Stitches

2 days prior to leaving for Chile, Jorgito miss stepped heading up the stairs and smacked is head into the banister slicing his forehead open. Of course he bled like a stuck pig scarring the daylights of me!!! We took him to the E.R. for the 3 time in the past 6 months and got the same doctor (he recognized us immediately). 7 stitches and 4 hours later we went home. Since we were in Chile 5 days later when we were supposed to go to his Doc's office to get his stitches out, Jorge decided that he would just "do it himself" so as Jorgito napped Dr. Zuniga carefully removed all 7 without so much as a peep from sleeping beauty.
