Easter 2011

Easter Sunday was a jam packed day full of Eggtastic Fun. It was also one of the few nights that Jorgito has slept through the ENTIRE night. After reading about our day you could understand why!

After church we went to the Legacy to eat Easter Buffet with G.G. and Great Great Uncle Lew. G.G. gave Jorgito this enormous marshmallow lollipop.

Jorgito is obsessed with the waterfall fish pond here. He cut out of lunch early just to come check out the fish...or as he and Elmo call them: FISHES

After nap time the Gajardo family came out to the Fountain farm. Tyler drove us down to the pond in his "new" truck. Our grandpa's 1964 ford that my dad recently "fixed up" and painted camo for him.

April

We have had a very busy April. Here are some of the non-Easter highlights of April

Grandma and Grandpa scored a "new" play set for Jorgito. Jorge and grandpa hauled it home and set it up in Jorgito's backyard.

Mama's haircuts just weren't cutting it (no pun intended) so Jorgito got his first professional haircut.

Jorgito and Grandpa filled up the sand box, while mama planted flowers.

Jorgito found his first antler shed while on a walk with grandpa down by the pond.

We met some new friends that had a 2 month old baby, which gave both Jorge and I baby fever....which lasted about 5 minutes.

Jorge ran the Novartis Race around Holmes Lake.

Jorge and Jorgito build this fort out of an old box. Jorgito thinks this is base... if you are inside this box you do not need to put your shoes on, take a nap, change your diaper, go to bed, or take a bath.

Katie and Ellie spent the night, and then helped hid eggs for Jorgito's egg hunt with all his little buddies the next morning.

Tucker couldn't make it to the egg hunt so he came over another day for special Eastery activities.

It was successful!!! Both Jorge and his lab mate Clayton gave their dissertations on 4/05/11. Jorge had him over for steaks to celebrate.

Dan (also in the Ph.D. program) helped Jorge and Clayton celebrate and popped the champagne.
